Europe 2011/12 - Day 13 - Lourdes, Toulouse & Lyon

and that morning we left Lourdes really early to head towards Lyon.

funnily enough, the 528 train to Toulouse we were supposed to be on was not there! wtf, some disruption according to the board. no one we could ask coz the train station attendants are not there so early in the morning. no worries - we just caught the next one towards Toulouse

the internets suggested this place close to Toulouse station and capitole for some imaginative bread such as chestnut and chorizo. but they had none of that - so we settled for some croque monsieur instead. pretty good :)

it was just a fountain and all - nothing too fancy. but not bad for a 1.5 stopover in Toulouse

after that we went back to Gare Toulouse Matabiau and hopped on a train to Lyon. IT WAS SUCH A PACKED TRAIN LIKE WTF. good thing we had reserved seats!

this was the bouchon LD reckons is the best in Lyon

it has a fireplace. a real fireplace inside! cooooooolllll

our dishes! ranging from a sausage brioche to intestine (Andouilette) to some foamy thing for dessert. it was all very delish! thanks LD :)

then we capped off the night by walking the streets of Lyon. pretty butterflies!

and a nicely lit up bridge.. i wish we were in Lyon for longer!
