it was day trip to Maranello day!
why you ask? the photos below should explain why we are headed to the small Italian town of Maranello if you have no idea..
to get to Maranello - we needed to catch a train to Bologna from Florence, then to Modena, then catch a bus to Maranello
downtown Modena. it was freezing!
to get to the bus stop in Modena to take us to Maranello, we had to catch a quick bus from Modena train station to the bus station. We had no idea where to stop, stayed on the bus for way too long and then decided we were lost and hopped off the wrong bus. Here is us waiting for the bus on the way back to the bus station to then catch the right bus to Maranello lol
yes this is why. Ferrari’s are made here.
all the miniature F1 cars dating back to when the miniatures were made. heaps of us, as you can see!

the man (or cardboard man, whichever suits you) himself

gotta stop by and have a macchiato at the ferrari cafe right?

what an amazing trip to Maranello. after that, we hung around Bologna before our train to Florence

huge diver sculpture in the middle of Bologna
then we had dinner at a trattoria that apparently locals frequent - we got there really late like 9:30pm and there was still a massive line! luckily we asked for a table for 2 and that we didnt wait too long for. we literally jumped the queue, legally of course!
Cibreo - a must go for all Firenze goers
a super menu - it was handwritten in pencil - it changes everyday!
Polenta alla Olio
ribolita - bread and vegetable soup
our bottle of wine for the night

he gave us a free slice of chocolate cake! so nice!
panna cotta to end the night!
DEFS recommend this place for dinner in Florence!
